  • Lifelong volunteer and conservationist, Sam Oliver, presents how our lives are woven together with the environment and the importance of preserving the natural habitats around you. Sam Oliver and her family have lived in the Barrington area since 1968. She is primarily involved with education, health, and the environment and served as Staff Director of Citizens for Conservation for thirty one years. She is President of Non-Profit Consulting. She has served as Chair of the American Heart Association of Metro Chicago, President of the Barrington Area Development Council (BADC), Barrington Area Historical Society, Auxiliary of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, and JourneyCare where she was a founder in 1984 and is a lifetime trustee of the Foundation. Sam has been a member of the Barrington 220 Board of Education, Governing and Development Councils of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. Sam is a recipient of the Daily Point of Light award.
