  • Archaeologists in Italy have unearthed skeletons and household artifacts from the ancient Roman city of Pompeii. The bones are believed to be those of two women and three children. Scientists suspect they may have sought safety from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in a small room, but never made it out alive. The lead researcher at the site called it "a shocking find, but also very important for history." Researchers also found gorgeous wall frescoes, including paintings of snakes and wild boars.
