  • We always have stories running through our mind, and they are almost always either in the past, or in the future. And these stories mostly consist of anxious thoughts, worries and fear of what could go wrong. Why does the mind worry all the time? While you could find the roots of the worry in the stress and survival instincts, in this talk, Colleen Lightbody tells you that you have the cognitive capability to be in control of your mind - and this is what is called Mindfulness. She introduces us to the concepts of Intentionality, mindfulness and consciousness to accept the present of the present. Colleen Lightbody's area of expertise lies in Neuroscience, Mindfulness, Brain-based Learning, Personal and Professional Leadership, and Emotional Intelligence. Known as “The Brain Guru”, her positive and energetic style reflects the passion she has for living a life where her core purpose is to be a catalyst for change.
