The purpose of this Talk is to bring awareness to Lynch Syndrome. Lynch Syndrome is a genetic disorder that predisposes people to getting 14 types of cancer. The key questions that this talk will address are: What is Lynch Syndrome? What cancers can you get? How do the chances of getting certain cancers compare to the chances of people w/out LS? How is LS passed on? What % of people have LS? How is somebody tested for LS? What can you do to be proactive if you are diagnosed with LS Helen is a 10th grader at Phillips Exeter Academy. Thank you for shedding light on this disease! I pray that you and your sister do not have this disease... I was tested over the summer because it sadly runs in my family. Unfortunately I have Lynch Syndrome, but I am trying to remain positive and know that the screenings will help ease my mind!

I just got my genetics test results today and I have Lynch Syndrome. My dad had colon cancer and he was tested also and he has Lynch Syndrome. My brother also tested but he did not get it.
